Composting Stuff

Composting Stuff Found Here: Are you tired of your garden getting overrun by disease and pests? Ready for a more productive garden? The answer isn't so much fertilizer and sprays as it is better nutrients for your soil. That's where composting comes in. Build enough compost, add it to your soil on a regular basis you'll soon have soil that chock full of nutrients and with the right PH balance for your vegetables.

So What is Compost?

Composting stuff means piling together everything organic and let it rot: leaves, grass, potato peels fruit rinds, hay and more. Put all this composting stuff in a pile, make sure they get moisture and oxygen and within a few weeks you'll have a healthy batch of humus and a more productive garden. To make your composting job easier, here are some composting stuff that can help:

Worming Your Way Into Even Richer Compost

Did you know that worms eat garbage? Not only do they do a fine job of eating your kitchen scraps, they also leave behind a wonderful end product (worm poop, actually) that is a nutrient-rich fertilizer your plants will love. And unlike regular compost, vermicompost has a special mucus that actually keeps the nutrients from washing away with watering. Great nutrients that cling to your soil. What could be better? However, unlike ordinary composting, vermicomposting (composting with worms) requires special equipment. Your worms need a moist environment with both good drainage and air flow. Here are some great vermicomposting supplies to help your garden thrive. And if you want to learn more about vermicomposting, click here.
