Healthy Food Recipes for Kids
This Corndog Recipe is a Healthy and Delicious Part of Frugal Living

Healthy food recipes for kids have to include a good corndog recipe. Healthy recipes like this one keep the fun in your children's diets. The Corndog is a classic kid favorite, but usually isn't the healthiest of choices. Studies have shown that eating regular hot dogs such as the type available in most supermarkets increase your risk of cancer. Isn't it a shame that such a fun treat has become so healthy and even dangerous over the years?

There is a soy corndog version available, but it's expensive, and again, we're back to processed food. Plus, studies are now showing that soy isn't so good for your either.

Wouldn't it be nice if you had your own healthy food recipes for kids, and you could make your own healthy corndog at home, using safe, healthy uncured hot dogs that don't have nitrates and nitrites or low-fat chicken hot dogs?

Now you can with healthy food recipes for kids like this one. I made this corndog recipe the other day and got a "thumbs up" of approval from the family. To make this corndog recipe, I ground the corn fresh, along with the wheat for my cornmeal and flour.

Then I used soy dogs that have no nitrates in them. By baking this version of corndog, I reduced the fat. Mine weren't as pretty as commercial dogs, but they tasted much better. And now you can make beautiful, low-fat corndogs with this corn dog maker.

More importantly, with healthy food recipes for kids like this one, I knew what was going into the bodies of my children. This corndog recipe has great taste that lets you breathe easier!

By the way, there's been a lot of concern lately about how healthy soy really is. Some experts are currently down on soy, while others see it as an excellent and safe source of protein. Choose whatever type of dog you feel comfortable with for this recipe. There are many brands available at your local health food store.
