Homesteading Full Time - How to Give Up the Day Job

Homesteading full time is possible, especially for the self reliant. No, it isn't easy, and it isn't likely to happen overnight or even within a month. But if you dream of staying home full-time, it can be done.

But Let's Be Realistic

There are some things that will have to happen first before you can start homesteading full time:
Organic Garden

An internet business is a boon to the aspiring homesteader and powerful potential for homesteading full time. We dream of owning our own land, growing our own food, raising farm animals and pursuing a slower pace of life. But what good is that land, with its huge garden and all those animals if we are never home to enjoy them?

That’s the beauty of the web. Building a website is a great opportunity for homesteading full time for anyone who willing to work hard. No, you will not get rich quickly with a website, but you can make a decent income and free yourself from that cubicle if you are willing to put in the time and the effort.

A Web Building Program That Brings Results

Have you thought about homesteading full time, but didn’t know where to begin? The great thing about pursuing a living off the internet is it allows you to follow your dreams. For years, I wanted to write and sell my own books. But to whom could I sell them? So I started a blog. The problem was, no one knew about it. The search engines never found them, and no one else did either. Plus, I realized the way the blog was set up, every time I wrote something new, the older articles got pushed back and no one would ever read them.

Traffic - and the lack thereof - is the number one problem with putting up a website. A brick and mortar business depends on location to succeed. Put up a store in Manhattan, and you're more likely to get results than a store located in the middle of nowhere. But an internet business depends on traffic to succeed. Without a sufficient number of visitors, your business is dead before you even begin, a fact I was painfully aware of.

Then one day, I stumbled upon Site Build It, or SBI, and my life has never been the same. It is easily, the fastest, most superb program out there. Started in 1997 by Ken Evoy, this company has helped thousands of people develop websites that draw traffic and business. Thanks to Ken Evoy and SBI, my husband and I are setting realistic goals and working our way to homesteading full time.

Why is SBI Different?

SBI gives you step by step instructions on how to set up an internet business easily. But what SBI offers also goes way beyond that. They also provide you with the tools you need to research your ideas and determine if they are marketable before you even name your website. Then SBI gives you step-by-step instructions on how to build a site that search engines love and people want to read. You not only get first-time visitors, but people who come again and again to read your site and buy from you, helping you to achieve your dream of homesteading full time.

A Friendly, Supportive Community of Experts

Plus, SBI has the best, most friendly forum on the web with tons of successful SBI business people with loads of experience to share. I’ve received countless tips on how to build my internet business, how to bring in more traffic, plus inspiration and great ideas on items I can sell to help me in my goal of homesteading full time.

But you don't have to take my word for it on how great SBI is, Read what others have to say about this great program.

So How Do You Make Money?

Sell ads on your site. SBI makes it easy! Open a store online and sell…anything. Provide unique T-shirts, camping equipment, or whatever is related to your topic and passion. Knowledge is a valuable commodity on the internet, and everyone has an area of expertise in something, including you! Do you know how to fix leaky plumbing? Are you a seamstress? A crochet maven? It doesn’t matter what your area of expertise is, there is someone out there who needs that knowledge and is willing to pay for it.

What Do You Need?

To reach your goal of homesteading full time, you will need a computer, motivation and passion. If you are reading this, I’m assuming you have the computer. For any business to grow and be successful, you must be willing to work at it on a regular basis. Self discipline is a must. You need not spend hours at a time on your business, but to see a regular growth and to keep from becoming discouraged you should work on your business preferably every day or at least five days a week. And it is absolutely crucial you find a subject that you are crazy about. You should have sufficient knowledge to write at least 50 pages on your topic. If you don’t have that knowledge, you should have enough interest in it to be willing to do the research.
