Medicinal Organic Gardening And How to Raise Your Own Medicinal Herbs
You can either grow your medicinal herbs in containers or outside.
Using raised beds and practicing the raised bed method as suggested in Patricia Lanza's book, Lasagna Gardening: A New Layering System for Bountiful Gardens: No Digging, No Tilling, No Weeding, No Kidding! will ensure healthy soil for successful growing for your medicinal organic gardening.
Using the Herbs in Your Medicinal Organic Gardening
With the herbs you raise in your medicinal organic gardening, you can make an infusion by placing the dried or fresh leaves in a tea ball or muslin bag and covering with hot water.
Allow them to steep for ten minutes before using.
Or you can make a decoction out of the roots you grow in your medicinal organic gardening.
You can also apply them in a poultice or tincture.
