Save Money on Grocery Shopping And Save Your Health
Save money on grocery shopping by learning to cook foods from scratch, and you not only improve your budget, but you can also dramatically improve your health.
That's because by learning to prepare your own meals, you avoid Genetically Modified Foods which can be found in most processed foods available on the market.
Save Money on Grocery Shopping Avoid Genetically Modified Foods
Genetically modified organisms can be found in all kinds of processed foods that contain any of the following ingredients:
Corn oil, high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, corn starch, corn meal, soy protein, soy lecithin, soy oil, soy sauce, soy isolates, canola oil and cottonseed oil.
So What's the Big Deal About GMO?
Foods containing GMO's have been proven in studies to be damaging to your health and can cause obesity and diabetes.
There have also been other scary health concerns with GMO's.
Infertility
Recently a Russian scientist released the results of a study she conducted on hamsters where a control group was given ordinary food and the other group was fed soy with Genetically Modified Organisms or GMO Soy.
The first generation of hamsters seemed fine, but the second generation of hamsters had a slower growth rate and reached sexual maturity at a slower rate.
The third generation of hamsters on the GMO Soy diet were sterile.
Organ Damage
In a report from the International Journal of Biological Sciences released earlier this year, researchers have discovered a link between eating genetically modified corn and organ damage.
According to the study, consuming Monsanto's Genetically Modified Maize not only damages the kidneys and liver, it also harms the heart, adrenal glands, spleen and haematopoietic system.
Clearly Genetically Modified foods are dangerous to your health and should be avoided at all costs.
The High Costs of Cheap Food
You may think you save money on grocery shopping by buying the really cheap foods, but the detrimental costs on your health in the long run make these foods some of the most expensive around.
But you can actually save more money, not only in the long run, but also right now, by learning to cook foods from scratch.
