I went from zero to 500 visitors per day in less than two years on my website and am making a great income. So can you.

Have You Ever Built a Website with Less than Satisfactory Results?

crying baby Or worse still, have you ever paid someone hundreds or even thousands of dollars to build you a website, and you're still not getting the traffic you hoped for, despite all that money?

I was in that boat back in 2008 when I was looking for a way to earn income from my writing. Yes, I could have gone the traditional route, namely spend a year or more on a book, submit it to dozens of publishers, and hopefully get a few thousand dollars for more than a year's worth of work.

But I didn't want to go the traditional route. I wanted to be fairly compensated for my time and skills. I wanted to self-publish my book and market it through the internet. But I soon learned that creating a website that search engines could find was a daunting task.

What Can the Internet Do for You?

inspiration If you have something to sell, the website is the place for you. Whether it's painted feather earrings, hand-carved paperweights, toys for children or anything in between, you can sell it on the World Wide Web.

Better still, how about generating what's known as "passive income" - income that goes on paying you long after you've done the work. You can earn this income in a number of ways, from advertising, to affiliate sales and even your own e-books that you sell right off your site.

My Success

Fortunately for me, I stumbled upon a low-cost program that showed me, step by step, how to build a website that would please both the search engines and my visitors. Not only did I get a great program that helped me build a nice-looking website, but I also learned how to build a website with valuable keywords that alerted the search engines about the value of my site.

Go to the search engines and type in phrases like "winter chicken care," "medicinal organic gardening," or "storing bulk grain" and you'll find that my website is at the top of the list. (There are more than 2.5 million search results for storing bulk grain alone, and I'm at the top!)

I'm now making a great income through my website, an income that will continue to grow as my website - and traffic - grows.

So What Can it Do For You?

At this point, you might be saying, "Great Sue. I'm glad to hear you're doing well and getting traffic. But I don't want to build a website about homesteading; I want to do a website about something else. There's no way I'll get those results with my topic about _________" (you fill in the blank).

But you couldn't be more wrong. The truth is you can rank high on any topic, if you know what to do.

So how can you get web surfers to find you and your website?

Search Engine Opti-What?

It all has to do with a little phrase called search engine optimization. Simply put, you need to produce a website that tells the search engines you have useful information that other readers would find valuable.

If Only it Were That Simple

Writing great pages of useful information does help, but making the search engines happy takes so much more than that.

So What Do You Do?

Ask the so-called "experts" and they'll tell you the only way you can rank high with the search engines is by throwing a lot of money at advertising. And it will work...as long as you keep paying, and paying, and paying. But is there any way to get your website high enough in the ranks - so that searchers can find your site - without paying a ton of money?

Yes, You Can!

My husband is a carpenter, and we were living on one income. I just didn't have the money to pay for advertising for my site. But I was able to get a ton of traffic anyway, using a program created by internet entrepreneur Ken Evoy.
